Clara Josephine Wieck Schumann was a German pianist. Brought up by her father with a strict childhood. Then falling in love with one of his students and a three year battle to marry him. She was brought up to be a child prodigy. Unlike most child prodigies she became one of the best concert pianist of the nineteenth century and built a career that lasted over sixty years.
